August 25, 2026 - Release Notes
This release expands international and hazmat shipping, adds new address validation and unified parcel data endpoints, and delivers rating, labeling, and manifest refinements across DHL eCommerce, UPS, and USPS.
New Features & Enhancements
- Address Validation API
Developers can now use a new endpoint to verify address accuracy and deliverability before processing an order. The endpoint returns detailed validation results and suggested corrections. 3PL Admins can also enable or disable automatic validation at the tenant level, providing greater control over rollout.
- UPS International Hazmat Shipping
The iDrive Shipping API now supports international dangerous goods shipments via UPS Worldwide services, with automated IATA-compliant validation, labeling, and documentation. - Unified Parcel API Endpoint
The iDrive Shipping API now offers a public, paginated endpoint that combines parcel-level label, tracking, and billing data in a single response, simplifying reporting, reconciliation, and downstream integrations. - DHL Express Third-Party Billing
Added support for third-party billing with DHL Express. - Automatic Country Code Normalization
The iDrive Shipping API now automatically converts full country names, such as “Japan” or “United States,” to ISO country codes in origin and destination fields, preventing formatting-related request failures. - Simplified Item Weight Requirements
Package line items no longer require an individual weight to generate a label. This reduces required fields and speeds label generation for shippers and WMS partners that track weight at the package level.
Bug Fixes
- Carrier Integrations
Resolved issues affecting DHL eCommerce package charges and international labels for addresses without a state or province. UPS tracking now returns complete location data, and USPS shipments to the U.S. Virgin Islands are handled as domestic, with no customs documentation required. - Rating Accuracy
The iDrive Shipping API now handles rating requests without specified carriers or service levels, preserves parent Rate Composition settings, and saves rate snapshots when labels are created without a prior quote. - Manifests
Manifests are now stored and retrieved per shipping site, so documents and shipment counts stay accurate for multi-site operations. Manifest History has also been streamlined with the removal of the Account column.
